Dr Kyriakos Kourousis, Associate Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Limerick, joins the judging panel for the Aviation Industry Awards 2026, bringing 25 years of experience across aircraft maintenance engineering, airworthiness management, and aeronautical research developed as an Aeronautical Engineer Officer with the Hellenic Air Force and as leader of the Airworthiness and Metal Plasticity research groups at UL. A registered Chartered Engineer and former Chair of the Royal Aeronautical Society Airworthiness and Maintenance Specialist Group, Kourousis contributes internationally recognised expertise in aviation technology, structural integrity, and airworthiness engineering to the evaluation of entries across Ireland's premier aviation recognition programme.
