Industry NewsExecuJet MRO Services Australasia builds Falcon 7X heavy maintenance capability ahead of C-check programme
Australia-based business aviation MRO provider ExecuJet MRO Services Australasia is expanding its Falcon 7X maintenance capability in Sydney, investing in specialist tooling, training and technical resources ahead of the commencement of Falcon 7X C-check operations in October 2026.
According to Aviation Business News, C-checks on the Falcon 7X represent the largest scheduled maintenance events for the type, falling due every eight years or every 4,000 cycles, whichever comes first. The investment positions ExecuJet MRO Services Australasia to undertake this work locally, reducing the need for Australian and regional operators to reposition aircraft to overseas facilities.
As part of the capability build, two Sydney-based engineers are being sent to FlightSafety International in Paris for specialised Falcon 7X airframe and systems training. The company is also recruiting an experienced Falcon 7X engineer from the Middle East to further strengthen its Sydney team.
Grant Ingall, regional vice president Australasia at ExecuJet MRO Services, said demand for Falcon support in the region was growing, particularly for larger aircraft types. "Investing in Falcon 7X training, tooling and technical capability allows us to provide operators with more comprehensive support locally," he said.
The Dassault Falcon 7X is a long-range trijet business jet capable of flying approximately 11,000 kilometres non-stop, making it a favoured platform for ultra-long-range corporate and private operations across the Asia-Pacific region. Its trijet configuration and performance envelope make it particularly well-suited to Australia's vast domestic distances and long transoceanic routes to Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
Heavy maintenance capability for large-cabin business jets has historically been concentrated in Europe, North America and the Middle East, with Asia-Pacific operators often required to ferry aircraft considerable distances for scheduled events.
The development of in-country C-check capability in Sydney addresses a gap in the regional MRO landscape and reduces both downtime and positioning costs for Falcon 7X operators based in Australia and neighbouring markets.
ExecuJet MRO Services operates across a global network of business aviation maintenance facilities, providing line and base maintenance, avionics services and component support to operators of a broad range of business jet types.
