Phoenix Aviation Capital has obtained a US$592 million (€509m) term loan to fund its next phase of growth, including refinancing existing warehouse debt and supporting future expansion. The company, a full-service aircraft lessor managed by US-based AIP Capital, has attracted backing from major institutions including Morgan Stanley, Citi, and RBC Capital Markets, with Morgan Stanley acting as administrative agent and collateral agent.

The financing adds to a strong year of capital raising for Phoenix, which has secured over US$2 billion (€1.72bn) in funding since the start of 2025. These resources enable the lessor to expand its aviation portfolio, meeting rising airline demand for in-production, efficient aircraft as carriers renew fleets and increase capacity to respond to sustained passenger traffic.

Jared Ailstock, Managing Partner at AIP, said the new facility provides Phoenix with long-term flexibility, allowing continued growth in high-demand aviation assets. He added that the successful issuance reflects lender confidence in Phoenix’s strategic approach and execution.

With this funding in place, Phoenix Aviation Capital is positioned to accelerate portfolio development and strengthen its balance sheet. The company can pursue new opportunities across the global aircraft leasing market, leveraging investor interest in aviation assets. The capital also supports the company’s strategy of responding rapidly to airline requirements for operational and fleet efficiency.

The term loan is part of a broader funding strategy that positions Phoenix to expand its footprint in aircraft leasing, offering airlines access to modern, in-production aircraft while maintaining a robust financial structure. The move reinforces Phoenix’s capability to support fleet growth, operational flexibility, and global leasing demand.
