The airline, which flew over 200 million people in the past year, aims to deter aggressive, intoxicated, or unruly conduct that risks passenger safety and forces costly diversions. 

Beyond the fine, Ryanair is prepared to pursue civil damages, citing a recent case where it sought £12,500 from a single passenger for triggering a flight diversion. With growing calls for stricter airport alcohol limits and harsher penalties, the move signals a more aggressive stance on maintaining in-flight order, something aviation leaders can no longer afford to treat as edge-case incidents.
