Air New Zealand adopts OneReg to streamline operational compliance
Air New Zealand has implemented OneReg, New Zealand’s advanced aviation compliance platform, across its Engineering division, marking a major upgrade in regulatory and operational management. The rollout consolidates maintenance, safety, and policy processes into a single digital system, enhancing transparency and efficiency.
The platform allows engineering teams to manage critical airworthiness activities, including maintenance scheduling, policy updates, and procedural oversight, with real-time auditability across the fleet. The airline’s Maintenance division is scheduled to transition to OneReg later this year, extending the platform’s reach across all operational units.
OneReg offers a live, interactive compliance environment that adapts to evolving aviation regulations. Teams can propose, review, and implement changes instantly, reducing manual intervention, minimising human error, and maintaining continuous adherence to international safety standards. Its AI-driven, predictive framework positions OneReg to support the growing global aviation compliance software market, projected to exceed US$18 billion (€15.5 billion) by 2033.
Andrew Hewitt, Air New Zealand General Manager Engineering, highlighted that the platform accelerates documentation updates, giving staff greater precision and operational agility. OneReg also fosters closer collaboration between airlines, airports, and regulators by centralising compliance data and enhancing information sharing.
The deployment reinforces Air New Zealand’s digital transformation strategy and underlines the airline’s focus on future-ready operational systems, ensuring safety, regulatory alignment, and operational efficiency across its fleet.
