Belfast International Airport expands aviation food and beverage offerings

Belfast International Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, is boosting its passenger experience and commercial footprint with a major expansion of its food and beverage facilities.

The five-year £100 million investment programme targets elevated dining concepts and enhanced operational spaces. The project marks the opening of Coffee bar Soul & Grain, the first of several new concepts developed in partnership with aviation-focused food services provider SSP Group.

This initiative reflects a long-standing collaboration, with SSP’s CEO for UK & Ireland, Kari Daniels, noting: “We have worked with Belfast International Airport for over two decades, so we’re excited to be growing our footprint together once again at such a pivotal moment in the airport’s history. The changes we’re making as part of its redevelopment will showcase the best Northern Ireland has to offer for those living in and visiting the city.”

Further developments include a 300-cover premium bar-and-kitchen concept, a casual-dining restaurant for families, and a refurbished Lagan Bar with increased seating. Existing brands such as Starbucks and Burger King will remain, complementing the new offerings.

The expansion integrates seamlessly with previously completed upgrades, including a state-of-the-art security hall, revamped duty-free shopping, new arrivals area, and enhanced forecourt facilities.
