Beta Technologies’ CX300 begins first customer test flights in Norway

Beta Technologies’ all-electric CX300 has started a six-month evaluation campaign in Norway, marking its first customer delivery to Bristow Group. The programme—Norway’s inaugural zero- and low-emission aviation test arena—will trial likely passenger and cargo routes between regional airports, helping regulators prepare for commercial electric aviation.

With a 336 nm range, rapid one-hour charging, and 75% lower emissions than a Cessna 208, the CX300 is seen as well-suited for Norway’s vast geography and cold climate. This milestone follows a 7,000 km European demonstration tour and earlier U.S. barnstorming, showcasing the aircraft’s capability under diverse conditions.
