Cork Airport expands schedules to strengthen European hub links
Cork Airport will significantly boost long-haul travel and global connectivity for passengers across the south of Ireland next summer through major schedule increases with key international carriers.
The changes will offer seamless onward connections to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
German flag carrier Lufthansa will increase its Cork – Frankfurt service to five flights per week, with six weekly flights during peak summer periods, connecting passengers to over 150 destinations across Lufthansa’s global network.
SWISS International Air Lines, via subsidiary Edelweiss, will return to Cork with a twice-weekly Zurich service from 31 March, offering connections to 70 European and 25 long-haul destinations.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will maintain three daily services to Amsterdam Schiphol, one of Europe’s most connected hubs, providing onward connections to over 160 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
Air France will resume daily Cork – Paris Charles de Gaulle flights from 1 March, increasing to 10 flights per week during peak travel, linking to one of the world’s busiest airports and Air France’s global network.
Aer Lingus will continue its four-times-daily Cork – London Heathrow service, enabling onward travel to over 130 destinations via the wider British Airways network, including North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Australia.
