Flydubai expands fleet to drive network growth and efficiency

Flydubai has added seven Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in 2025, with five more due before year-end, bringing its fleet to 95 aircraft. The deliveries reinforce the airline’s growth strategy, boosting network expansion, route capacity and operational efficiency, despite being 20 aircraft behind earlier projections.

Financing was secured through a mix of Islamic financing with ADIB, debt financing with RAKBANK, and sale-and-leaseback agreements with JLPS and JLPS Ireland. The move underscores the carrier’s commitment to growth while managing financial resilience through diverse funding structures.
