Irish drone delivery company Manna Air Delivery has announced plans to create 400 new jobs across Ireland and the United States, following the close of a $50 million (€46 million) Series B funding round that brings its total investment to $110 million (€101 million).

According to the Irish Times, the roles will span robotics, software engineering, mechanical engineering, aviation operations, ground operations and regulatory functions, with a strong emphasis on STEM disciplines. The recruitment drive will bring Manna's global headcount from 170 to over 570.

Investors in the round include ARK Invest — known for backing OpenAI, Tesla and SpaceX — alongside Schooner Capital and existing investors Coca-Cola HBC and Molten Ventures.

Manna designs, builds and operates its drones and software entirely in Ireland, holding a Gold Standard Light UAS Operator Certificate under the European Union Aviation Safety Agency framework. The company has completed more than 250,000 regulated drone flights across Ireland and internationally, including operations in Texas and Finland.

CEO and Founder Bobby Healy said the funding would enable the company to scale both domestically and in the US. "This investment allows us to scale, in Ireland and across the United States where we already fly in Texas," he said, adding that a number of American cities and states had expressed strong interest in aerial delivery.

The company's end-to-end technology stack — spanning airframe design, manufacturing and flight orchestration software — is developed in Dublin, positioning Ireland as a base for autonomous aerial logistics at an international level.

Manna's expansion arrives as the commercial drone delivery sector accelerates globally, with regulatory frameworks under EASA increasingly enabling scaled UAS operations across European markets.
