This award will go to the company working in Ireland’s aviation industry that has been offering a best-in-class training and development programme – covering apprenticeships, graduate training, or both – over the past 12 months. Entry is by a 5 A4 page submission; the judges will be looking for clear information, backed up by evidence, that pays particular attention to the criteria listed below.

  • Programme Development and Objectives: Demonstrate how your aviation training programme (apprenticeship and/or graduate) was developed, outlining its core objectives and alignment with industry needs.
  • Implementation Overview: Provide an overview of how the programme has been delivered over the past 12 months, giving specific examples. Outline any challenges faced and how your organisation demonstrated initiative, creativity, and leadership in overcoming them.
  • Benefits to the Business: Show the real business benefits of the programme, including measurable ROI and positive stakeholder feedback (internal or external).
  • Benefits to the Participant: Demonstrate how the programme benefits apprentices and/or graduates. Include examples of career development, enhanced skills, or positive participant feedback (via internal surveys, testimonials, or case studies).
  • Measurement of Success: Provide evidence of how success is monitored and measured against the stated objectives, highlighting any key performance indicators, benchmarking, or evaluation methods used.
  • Excellence in Training & Development: Show how your organisation has gone beyond curricular requirements to support participants, including mentoring, additional training hours, specialist workshops, or initiatives that enhance learning and career progression.
